Indie Princess: Jessica Hendrickson

It’s time to announce the advent of bright talents of the independent scene which includes the entrancing Jessica Hendrickson. She’s appearing in the short “The Pradys” that’s about familial secrets which we know don’t always end well but make for good comedy. She’s a vision of quirkiness as Skyler who engages in sibling rivalry during the course of a family dinner. Would love to see her in a show like “The Middle” or “New Girl” where off-beat characters rule! “The Pradys” is scheduled to screen at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival on Feb 12 so don’t miss it!

Here’s Jessica giving us the juicy info on her many fascinating projects:

The Pradys is a comedic short film I wrote a couple years ago about the hilarious consequences that ensue as a result of the little lies families keep from each other. I produced it and have a supporting role as well. The film stars Conner Marx (as seen on TNT’s Leverage, SyFy’s Z Nation and more) and Parvesh Cheena (series regular on NBC’s A to Z and Outsourced, also seen on Arrested Development and more). Poster and more available at https://www.facebook.com/ThePradys.

I am also a traditional female recurve archer and recently shot two commercials where I’m featured as an archer: Nike Air Jordan (with King Bach): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJM__NA2b5w and a Khan Academy PSA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JC82Il2cjqA

My biggest endeavor at the moment is my new YouTube show Everyday Science: https://www.youtube.com/user/EverydayScienceTV. I am currently the host and writer of multiple segments including Scientist Profiles, The Science of Things, At-Home Science with Friends, and more. My current videos include the Science of Archery, Space News, Interviews with Bill Nye the Science Guy, a tour of the Robotics Research Lab at USC and more.

Fans can follow me on Twitter: @jessiehendricks and @EverydaySciTV and keep up with current projects on http://www.jessicahendrickson.com

You definitely would also want to watch her in “Virginity” which sheds light on the brutality of honor killings, rape, prostitution and sexual trafficking around the world. Jessica gallantly explored the emotional depths as Jassmin who befriends Raha, woman who is threatened with death if she refuses an arrange marriage. Her memorably riveting portrayal won her the “Best Female Supporting Actor” Award at the LA New Wave International Film Festival in 2013. Because she has such a luminous smile on top of her acting chops and multiple talents, she’s one to be enthused about in a big way.
